27th International Medical Instruments & Equipment Exhibition Concludes with Complete Success

The 3-day International Medical Instruments and Equipment Exhibition (CHINA MED 2015) concluded grandly on the 28^th March 2015. CHINA MED 2015 was jointly organized by the Health Department of General Logistics Department of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, China World Trade Center Co., Ltd., Huitong Xingye International Exhibition (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. It has functioned as a top trade show in the medical instrument and equipment sector in China as well as in Asia.

Figures of CHINA MED 2015 rose steadily

570 medical businesses from over 20 countries including Germany, China, Japan, South Korea, Italy and the USA gathered in the 32,000 m² exhibition hall. They had fruitful discussions with 31,500 trade visitors. The scale of this edition was once again bigger than the last one.

According to the statistics from the post show report, the exhibitors and visitors gained more satisfaction from this edition than any previous one. Participants are optimistic about the future market. They hold that the market demand will increase further and economic development will remain favorable. Therefore, most of the exhibitors and visitors express their desire to come again next time.

Combination of highlighted activities and amazing exhibition attracted visitors’ great interests

The atmosphere for business was strong at the site. Visitors were enthusiastic about various new products all through. For example, much attention was devoted to GE’s unique MRI treatment platform — the MRgFUS system, smart mobile robots which can have smart puncture navigation, management experts for operating room space and IGS730/740 of leading the era-making breakthrough; Siemens’ world-only synchronic scanning MR PET — Bipgraph mMR and Artis zeego, the 8-axis robot angiography system; Elekta’s brand-new medical linear accelerator Infinity and Varian’s EDGE — target radiation surgery system. All those products drew visitors’ great attention. The trade volume hit USD 260,000,000 this year. Trade opportunities will follow in the coming days.

27 academic conferences, centering on medical imaging, healthcare, clinical technology and bidding procurement, were well received with an attendance of 15,000 participants. Experts from China and abroad gathered to discuss the forefront problems in various medical categories. Prof. Meng Qinghe from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, USA remarked: “The seminars are better organized with richer content. In particular, they are targeted for the very frontier of laboratory medicine like individual application, individual diagnosis, individual healthcare, etc.” Director Feng Huiru from the Department of Nuclear Medicine of General Hospital of Military Command commented: “It is of much significance for me to attend the seminars. The nuclear medicine sector is a leader in molecular imaging, especially for PET CT. At the seminars, besides addresses delivered by Chinese experts, counterparts from the USA and South Korea also made excellent introductions to molecular imaging. ”

In addition, some newly-introduced academic seminars like cardiovascular imaging 2015 and interventional therapy innovation were also well received. Participants remarked that through these seminars they could learn new technology and improve their expertise. Seminars of those kinds will be hosted in the coming edition.
